Certified Interpreters are interpreters that have been certified by the Judicial Council.
Qualified Interpreters are trained and have more than 5 years of experience (each agency has their own qualifications, contracting & testing guidelines.)
Interpreting Styles
Consecutive Interpreting - The interpreter waits until a statement is completed before they deliver the message in another language. This method of interpretation is most popular for use in hospitals, clinics, meetings, negotiations, hearings, and depositions.
Simultaneous Interpreting - The interpreter speaks at the same time as the speaker. This method of interpretation is more appropriate and used for court, conferences, and seminars.
